Our Story
Justin Spicer founded Empower Consulting in 2014 to provide bookkeeping and financial consulting solutions to businesses, non-profit organizations, and churches. As former consulting engineer, executive pastor, and non-profit board member, he saw the need for user-friendly reporting and simple, cloud-based financial systems that empowered organizational leaders to grow their organizations. Since then, our firm has grown to become a team of bookkeepers serving over 175 clients clients across the country.

Bookkeeper
Mande is a Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor, and has over 10 years of experience in bookkeeping and office management. Her family loves spending time together exploring artsy places, observing beautiful architecture, and discovering local coffee shops. In her free time, you will find her outside with a book. She has a Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University. Geaux Tigers!
Dustin Eddy
Bookkeeper
Dustin is a Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor, and has over 12 years of experience in bookkeeping, human resources, and executive leadership in both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. He loves spending time with his family and is currently pursuing a counseling degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas.
Carmen Myers
Bookkeeper
Carmen is a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and has worked in accounting and bookkeeping for 9 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sporting events and reading. She is also active in her daughter’s high school serving as Secretary of the Booster Club. Carmen has a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University.

Cheryl is a Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor, and has over 25 years of experience in bookkeeping and human resources in various industries. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is active in her community, and fosters for a few different animal rescue organizations. She has a Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Ariel Sauln

Ariel is a Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor, and has worked in bookkeeping, accounting, and tax for over 10 years. She was born and raised in San Diego, but recently moved to Texas. She likes to spend her free time exploring her new hometown, attending concerts and sporting events (especially baseball), and traveling. She especially loves visiting Italy whenever she gets the chance.

He currently focuses on consulting, staff coaching and business development. He’s a lover of the outdoors, running, travel, good coffee, and his family and friends. He has his undergraduate degree from Duke University.
Gail Strickland
Firm Administrator
Gail brings several decades of administrative, human resources, and bookkeeping experience to our team. She is adaptable, flexible, and gifted in administration. She is a native Texan, but spent 10 years in Colorado where she developed a love for mountain climbing. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family, friends and three granddaughters. Gail graduated from Executive Secretarial School in Dallas.
